Despite the normative order is adverse to trans people s life, the social name and the self referred use of toilets represent the most evident pointers of how such population is formalized in the universitary scope. Considering that college institutions are not usually accessible to Brazilian transvestites and transexuals, this paper analyzed the framing and implementation process of such devices within Universidade Federal do Tocantins (UFT). The objectives comprise evaluating how trans people s endurance and access to education show up in statewide regulations; the memory reconstruction of social name s regulation at UFT, comprising its boundaries and possibilities, and the identification of the aspects that allow to evaluate the impact of normative devices targeted to trans people in universitary institutions. The methodological path was based on researching the educational practices and lookouts of capitalism s contemporary trends on the educational policy. Through documental analysis of local social media covering the implementation period of social name, against the categories of dialectic-critique method and intersectional feminism, we rescued the path of State social laws, performed by LGBT Tocantinense movement. The records, bound up with the asset of memory, underlied the development of a time line on social name and rights achievement within UFT, highlighting the visibility, inflection, regression and resistence moments. The research has pointed that specific actions on self-contained trans people s access and endurance are tooned with the mobilization of the college collectives and study groups that induced the universitary management concerning to the acknowledgement of basic rights. Such questions are related to the adequacy of the educational environment in terms of promoting the sovereignty of sexual diversity and gender identity, an essential condition to provide a proper formation to people under precarious social life, who are severed from basic rights and drifted away from social interaction.
