Narrativas pessoais como ação política nas redes sociais: o caso hashtag #PrimeiroAssédio

Narratives in the first person with denunciations of situations of suffering and injustice seem to present themselves today with communicative force in the online environment, by stimulating the rapid and expressive engagement of internauts in causes defended by certain social groups. In order to understand this phenomenon, we have analyzed the tweets published in the hashtag #PrimeiroAssedio campaign, a political action that began on the social networking site Twitter, in which personal narrative was the main resource to mobilize tens of thousands of people to participate in the feminist struggle against the naturalization of sexual harassment in Brazil. This analysis was based on the perspective of the theory of recognition, defended by the philosopher Axel Honneth. Our study starts from a broader premise that we are facing a process of politicization of the intimate sphere, which was already characteristic of the feminist movement since the 1960s, but that intensifies in the contemporaneity with the conformation of the networked society. The main objective of this research was to understand how the reports of personal experiences, when making private conflicts public, can act as communicational devices in the digitally mediated political actions, stimulating the engagement of the contemporary subject to collective action
