This research addresses the process of social inclusion of people with disabilities, through public policies, in a contemporary capitalist society. The relevance of expanding reflections related to the various issues that permeate the daily lives of people with disabilities. Among them, the social, economic and cultural barriers built historically and which these people encounter on a daily basis stand out. The methodology adopted in this study was qualitative bibliographic research, in addition to the documentary nature. The study presents the main theoretical milestones in the history of people with disabilities, a proposal to discuss Brazilian public policies directed at people with disabilities and to deepen the debate on the social inclusion of people with disabilities in contemporary capitalist society, through social assistance policies and job market. In this perspective, understanding how this new configuration of world capitalism affected the process of social inclusion of people with disabilities and their social work relationships and the constitution of social assistance policy in Brazil, in particular the Benefit of Continued Provision - BPC which aims to supply the social minimums of these individuals, in the close relationship between - BPC and the labor market.
