The study about the government of Juscelino Kubitschek de Oliveira and the rare bibliography related to the Jacareacanga and Aragarças Revolts raised the need for this research, where it presents itself as a reference for future works, considering the lack of similar productions. Such events occurred in that period, they were the result of unstable political moments, as well as the discontent of a significant portion of the military who were unsatisfied with the conjuncture and the direction of the country. Searching extensive documentary sources, including letters, trades, functional promotions record, among others, we have been able to trace back the political, ideological and economic atmosphere of this troubled and rich period. We also follow the trajectory of the majority of the rebels in order to understand relevant issues around the events and to demonstrate through evidence that these same military men who were once arrested and even exiled in the 1950s were favored at the time of the establishment of the civil-military government of 1964.
