Resumo: We understand the Movement for the Reconceptualization of Social Work as the process of professional crisis configured in the world sociopolitical context of the capitalist crisis during the 1960s and 1970s, resulting in Latin America in expressions of theoretical-methodological debate, apparently fundamentally political. This research investigates expressions between consensus and dissent, based on multiple manifest contradictions within the framework of the Movement for the Reconceptualization of Social Work in Colombia. The attention is focused on the theoretical-methodological foundations that supported professional training in this context. These findings are analyzed in the light of Marx's social theory and the various Marxist currents that were present in the aforementioned Movement. In totality perspective, the mediations between the professional movement and the determinants of the class struggle are identified, since the profession is inscribed in the imminent dynamics of the capitalist mode of production. For such rigor, the crisis of capital in the 1960s and 1970s is analyzed, as well as its manifestations in the "peripheral" or "dependent" capitalism that characterizes the Latin American region. The study of the Reconceptualization in Colombia is verified from the bibliographic and documentary search (books, magazines, degree works, theses, archives), press review (official and alternative) and through interviews with some of the authors of the study. Reconceptualization in four representative cities of professional history (Bogotá, Cali, Manizales and Medellín). Returning to the critique of political economy developed by Karl Marx, an analysis of the theoretical-methodological foundations that have characterized Marxism in Latin America is carried out, focusing attention on Althusserian Marxism, Maoism, liberation theology and dependency theory, which, during the 1960s and 1970s, generated great impact in the region. Also, and with greater preponderance, some developments that acquired particular strength and diffusion in the Colombian context are addressed, such as the influence of Orlando Fals Borda and Camilo Torres Restrepo, who belong to the aforementioned Marxist currents of thought. The search has been to apprehend the particularities of the contradictory process of the Reconceptualization Movement in Colombia by analyzing the curricula, professional training, bibliographic production and some events carried out by the professional body during the two decades mentioned. With the collection and analysis of such information, it is possible to see general trends of Reconceptualization and its manifestations.

Submitted by Marianna CB/C (marianna.uerj@gmail.com) on 2022-04-26T19:23:35Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Tese - Sérgio Andrés Quintero Londoño - 2018 - Completa.pdf: 1811003 bytes, checksum: 4ecd25a1cd1b560f6eee9045637e4129 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2022-04-26T19:23:35Z (GMT).
