Resumo: | Invasive fungal infections are an important cause of morbidity in cancer patients, especially those transplanted with bone marrow and those undergoing chemotherapy. These infections are challenging for clinical diagnosis, requiring the support of a mycology laboratory to detect the causal agent. Environmental fungi are increasingly present in the hospital environment and the laboratory must align its procedures with good laboratory practices aiming at the quality of the results delivered. The main objective is to provide a compendium of methods in good laboratory practices in oncology mycology, providing guidelines for maintaining a standard of quality in services, involving the safety of professionals, clinical samples and the environment. To achieve this objective, a checklist was applied with the legal requirements of RDC 302/2005. For 144 items evaluated, 98 items (68.05%) fully met RDC 302, 38 items (26.39%) did not fully meet the RDC and 8 items (5.56%) were not applicable to the mycology laboratory. With this result, an action plan was prepared for the elaboration of the manual of good laboratory practices in oncological mycology. The compendium of methods was prepared in six chapters, with a chapter describing the legal requirements, named Standardization, a chapter describing the risks, named Risks, a chapter describing biosafety, named Biosafety, and a chapter on Quality Management, covering all the controls of the analytical phases, a chapter on Equipment Management and a chapter on Standard Operating Procedures. The compendium of methodsin good practices application made the biosafety norms available for the work with fungi in the hospital environment, however, the success of its implementation depends on the behavioral change in daily activities execution as well as constant team training. |

Essas infecções são desafiadoras para o diagnóstico clínico sendo necessário o apoio de um laboratório de micologia para a detecção do agente causal. Os fungos ambientais cada vez mais estão presentes no ambiente hospitalar e o laboratório deve alinhar seus procedimentos às boas práticas laboratoriais visando a qualidade dos resultados entregues. O objetivo principal é fornecer um compêndio de métodos em boas práticas laboratoriais em micologia oncológica fornecendo orientações para a manutenção de um padrão de qualidade nos serviços, envolvendo a segurança dos profissionais, das amostras clínicas e do ambiente. Para alcançar esse objetivo foi aplicada uma lista de verificação conforme os requisitos legais da RDC 302/2005. Dos 144 itens avaliados, 98 itens (68,05%) atendiam integralmente a RDC 302, 38 itens (26,39%) não atendiam integralmente a RDC e 8 itens (5,56%) não eram aplicáveis ao laboratório de micologia. Com esse resultado foi elaborado um plano de ação para a elaboração do manual de boas práticas laboratoriais em micologia oncológica. O compêndio de métodos foi elaborado em seis capítulos sendo um capítulo descrevendo os requisitos legais, nomeado Padronização, um capítulo descrevendo os riscos , nomeado Riscos, um capítulo descrevendo biossegurança, nomeado Biossegurança, um capítulo sobre a Gestão da Qualidade , abrangendo todos os controles das fases analíticas, um capítulo sobre a Gestão de Equipamentos e um capítulo com os Procedimentos Operacionais Padrão do setor.
