This research is constituted in the development of a differentiated score study and it aimed at expanding the discursive competence of students in the 9th grade of elementary school. We believe that the literary text contributes to increasing the understanding of the score by allowing multiple readings creating opportunities for operating breaks, diagramming, rhythm and silence of singles syntactic structures, non-linear reading and other expedients. Through a qualitative study analyzed literary texts with diverse signaling marks, elaborated a notebook with activities whose focus resides in the possibilities of sense arising from the score use and applied some of these activities to two classes of 9th grade of elementary school in order to facilitate the interaction between researcher and people involved in the search object. The educational product for us prepared is the materialization of this research and aims to the learning process of students in the 9th grade of elementary school to be optimized for a different method of teaching/learning with emphasis on effects of meaning generated by punctuation marks in a literary text.
