EIGHT DAYS A WEEK: THE IDEOLOGY OF LYRIC-LOVING TROUBADOUR SPEECH AT THE BEATLES SONG

Resumo: | Based on the theories of Maingueneau (2013) and Brandão (2012 and 2015) concerning the Discourse Analysis, the present article aims to present a comparative analysis between speeches from different times and places: cantigas of Portuguese Troubadour of the XII century and Rock and Roll songs from English-twentieth century. The analysis identifies similarities between cantigas de amor of Portuguese Troubadour and a song by the band The Beatles, in order to point out traces of a medieval Lover's Discourse on the songs of the 1960s. Justify of choice of the subject for the relevance of the band in contemporary music history and the ongoing reputation it still holds today. Many young people of the late twentieth century and early twenty-first century had their first contact with the Beatles from parents or grandparents who lived through the 1960s and they have seen or experienced the fever of the band. It is noticed that they identify themselves with the songs or have interest in the genre in which the band is inserted. The songs from the Troubadour, in turn, are usually presented to these same young people in the first year of high school in Brazilian Basic Education and make up the first set of literary texts of Portuguese literature. By analyzing these textual sets from the theoretical basis from the Discourse Analysis, it"™s intended to indicate an approximation between them, in order to understand the ideology oflove songs, different ethos and the skills involved in the laws of speech, according to the different contexts in which they were produced. |

Fundamentado nas teorias de Maingueneau (2013) e Brandão (2012 e 2015), acerca da Análise do Discurso, o presente artigo tem como objetivo apresentar uma comparação entre discursos de diferentes épocas e lugares: cantigas lírico-amorosas do Trovadorismo português do século XII e músicas do Rock and Roll inglês do século XX. A análise identifica semelhanças entre uma Cantiga de Amor portuguesa e uma canção da banda The Beatles, com a finalidade de apontar traços de um discurso amoroso medieval nas músicas dos anos 1960. Justifica-se a escolha do tema pela relevância da banda na história da música contemporânea além da contínua fama que mantém até hoje. Muitos jovens do final do século XX e início do século XXI tiveram o primeiro contato com os Beatles por intermédio dos pais ou avós que viveram a década de 1960 e que viram ou vivenciaram a febre da banda. Percebe-se que estes se identificam com as músicas ou têm interesse pelo gênero musical em que a banda está inserida. As cantigas do Trovadorismo, por sua vez, costumam ser apresentadas aos mesmos jovens na 1a série do Ensino Médio da Educação Básica brasileira e compõem o primeiro conjunto de textos literários da literatura de Língua Portuguesa. Ao analisar estes conjuntos textuais a partir da fundamentação teórica proveniente da AD, pretende-se apontar uma aproximação entre os mesmos, visando a compreender a ideologia das Cantigas de Amor, os diferentes ethos e as competências envolvidas nas leis do discurso, obedecendo aos diferentes contextos em que foram produzidas.
