Resumo: The mystique surrounding the cult of Dionysus influenced strongly Western thought. Many philosophers – from Antiquity to Contemporary Philosophy – found, in the different facets of the dionysian, elements to substantiate their interpretation of reality. Among the various elements of the dionysiac mystique that most attracted attention is the foreignism. Dionysus always manifests himself as an outsider. His godsends, such as wine, come from distant lands, from the orient. The madness, the excess, the ecstatic music, the frantic dance and the orgiastic mantic presents in his rites are barbaric. This is an originally barbarian religion that to be widely accepted in the greek world was necessary that has become hellenic. Knowing this, this work will discuss some aspects of the foreign origin of the dionysiac mystique. For this purpose, will be considered the arguments of the notables philologists Erwin Rohde and Martin Person Nilsson.

Universidade do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte - UERN2021-10-27info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionArtigo avaliado pelos paresapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.apps.uern.br/index.php/RTF/article/view/248710.25244/tf.v14i1.2487Trilhas Filosóficas; v. 14 n. 1 (2021): Trilhas Filosóficas: DOSSIÊ SAGRADO E POESIA NO PENSAMENTO DE HEIDEGGER - (v.14, n.1, 2021); 177-1931984-556110.25244/tf.v14i1reponame:Trilhas Filosóficas (Online)instname:Universidade do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte (UERN)instacron:UERNporhttps://periodicos.apps.uern.br/index.php/RTF/article/view/2487/2832Copyright (c) 2021 Micael Silvainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSilva, Micael2022-11-26T20:37:09Zoai:ojs2.periodicos.apps.uern.br:article/2487Revistahttp://periodicos.apps.uern.br/index.php/RTF/indexPUBhttp://periodicos.apps.uern.br/index.php/RTF/oaitrilhasfilosoficas@uern.br || marcos_erico@yahoo.com.br10.25244/tf1984-55611982-7490opendoar:2022-11-26T20:37:09Trilhas Filosóficas (Online) - Universidade do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte (UERN)false
