Resumo: When dealing with politics and democracy in Hannah Arendt's thought, we aim to bring out a look at the contemporary world that manifests a position of repulsion to these. We understand that the author's thought is relevant for us to clues on how to resist this posture of hatred and resentment that feeds the desire for the end of politics and democracy. We understand that fascism and the authoritarian and resentful personality embody this threat to public life and public happiness. In this direction, we understand that the mobilization towards the strengthening of institutions, but, above all, our active participation in public affairs, demarcate a positive and healthy form of resistance in the face of fascist and violent horror.

Entendemos que o pensamento da autora é relevante para nós, nele há pistas de como resistir a essa postura de ódio e ressentimento que alimenta o desejo do fim da política e da democracia. Entendemos que o fascismo e a personalidade autoritária e ressentida encarnam esta ameaça a vida pública e a felicidade pública.
