Cruzamentos vocabulares com o topônimo ‘Roraima’ (The toponym ‘Roraima’ used in blend words)

Resumo: The present paper is comprised within the field of Lexical Morphology, more specifically of word blend, and aims to analyze blend words stemming from the toponym ‘Roraima’, with attention to morphophonological, orthographic and discursive aspects. The methodology consists of identifying and collecting the corpus (57 words), which tasks were conducted mostly online, and complemented by in loco observation in the city of Boa Vista (RR). Results show that ‘Roraima’ is a productive lexical basis for the formation of new commercial and institutional toponyms in the city of Boa Vista, where ‘Rorai-’, ‘-raima’ or ‘-aima’ are combined with other words. Word blend also implies other morphological and phonological processes, such as acronym formation, monotongation and the use of bound forms and suffixoids. These blend words highlight the identity and sociolinguistic features of the Portuguese spoken in the state of Roraima, especially in relation to trade.

La metodología consiste en la identificación y recogida del corpus (57 palabras), actividades realizadas principalmente de forma virtual y complementadas con la observación al transitar por la ciudad de Boa Vista-RR. La conclusión es que ‘Roraima’ es una base léxica productiva para la formación de nuevos topónimos comerciales e institucionales en Boa Vista-RR, para los cuales ‘Rorai-’, ‘-raima’ o ‘-aima’ se combinan con otras palabras. El cruce léxico también implica otros procesos morfológicos y fonológicos, como el acrónimo, la monoptongación y el uso de formas presas y sufijoides. El resultado de estos cruces funciona como una identidad y marca sociolingüística del portugués hablado en el estado de Roraima, principalmente en el ámbito comercial.O presente trabalho se situa nos estudos da morfologia lexical, mais especificamente no campo da composição vocabular, e tem por objetivo analisar os cruzamentos vocabulares (CVs) com a palavra ‘Roraima’, com atenção aos aspectos morfofonológicos, gráficos e discursivos. A metodologia consiste na identificação e na coleta do corpus (57 palavras), atividades realizadas principalmente de forma virtual e complementada pela observação ao transitar por Boa Vista-RR.  A conclusão é que ‘Roraima’ é uma base lexical produtiva para a formação de novos topônimos comerciais e institucionais em Boa Vista-RR, para os quais ‘Rorai-’, ‘-raima’ ou ‘-aima’ são combinados com outras palavras. O CV implica também outros processos morfológicos e fonológicos, como a sigla, a monotongação e o uso de formas presas e sufixoides.
