Resumo: This paper analyses the movie Sorry, we missed you (2019), by the English filmmaker Ken Loach, to discuss relations about the processes of subjectivation and desubjectivation through work in the era of uberization, in which the rise of self-entrepreneurial discourses is evident. The analysis uses Foucault's theories, articulating it with the Marxist concept of alienation. For this, the production context and the plot are described, focusing on the protagonist’s actions. Finally, it brings to light the way that the work represents the consequences of power relations implied in the post-modern work scenario, such as the re-identification of the unemployed to the condition of self-employed worker. This place, which, apparently, is reserved for an illusory freedom, leads the subject to unsubjectivation and, therefore, establishes a new form of self-control.

El análisis se realiza con un soporte teórico foucaoutiano, lo articulando con el concepto marxista de alienación. Para ello, se describe el contexto de producción y la trama, centrándose en las acciones realizadas por el protagonista. El análisis presenta la forma en que el trabajo representa las consecuencias de las relaciones de poder implícitas en el escenario laboral posmoderno, como la re-identificación del desempleado a la condición de trabajador autónomo. Este lugar, aparentemente reservado a una libertad ilusoria, lleva al sujeto a tal sujeción y, por tanto, establece una nueva forma de autocontrol.Este artigo apresenta uma leitura do filme Você não estava aqui (2019), do cineasta inglês Ken Loach, para discutir relações acerca dos processos de subjetivação e dessubjetivação pelo trabalho na era da uberização, em que se evidencia a ascensão de discursos de autoemprendedorismo. A análise é realizada por um suporte teórico foucaoutiano, articulando com o conceito marxista de alienação. Para isso, são descritos o contexto de produção e o enredo, com foco nas ações realizadas pelo protagonista. A análise traz à tona o modo que a obra representa as consequências das relações de poder implicadas no cenário trabalhista pós-moderno, como a reidentificação do desempregado à condição de trabalhador autônomo.
