Resumo: | The article aims to discuss the homeless population in terms of the racial debate in the context of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, in the light of the theory of ethnic-racial relations (race and racism). In the methodological field, J. B. Thompson's depth hermeneutic is used and complemented by seven reports of homeless people, hetero-attributed and/or self-declared black, located on the Facebook page (invisible SP), from 2021-2022. Localized reports on the racial debate, considering the coronavirus-19 pandemic and the inequities in health and education of this population, reveal that the conditions of living, falling ill and dying of the black population in Brazil reflect contexts of social inequalities and racism structural that are expressed in inequalities in health, education, human rights, and ethnic-racial data gaps that increase the invisibility of homeless people in the country, as observed by the literature review of the investigated field. *Research carried out and article written from the post-doctoral studies of the author at the Center for Social Studies (CES) of the University of Coimbra (Portugal) within the scope of (Project 725402 - POLITICS - ERC-2017-2023). Funding: European Research Council. |
