Resumo: This article is part of my doctoral research in discuss I the complexity of putting myself in the Other's shoes in order to understand him. It shows the traditional community of Sambaíba, in Caetité-BA, it know how and problematizes the construction of changing and / or fragmented identities based on the interpretation of symbolic elements that are presents in the participants' narratives and face-body expressions. An ethnography about / with the Other in my experience with the body. I've been thinking and observing the community and, simultaneously, being thought and observed by people of African descent is the construction of an episteme for academic and human life. Apresenta a comunidade tradicional de Sambaíba, município de Caetité-BA, seu saber-fazer e problematiza a construção de identidades cambiantes e/ou fragmentadas a partir da interpretação de elementos simbólicos presentes nas narrativas e expressões face-corporais dos participantes. Uma etnografia sobre/com o Outro em minha experiência com o corpo. Ver-me pensando e observando e, simultaneamente, sendo pensada e observada pelos afrodescendentes é a construção de uma episteme para a vida acadêmica e humana. Palavras-chave: Quilombo Sambaíba; Saber-fazer; Identidades cambiantes.Este artículo es parte de mi investigación doctoral en la que analizo la la complejidad de ponerme en el lugar del Otro para entenderlo. Presenta la comunidad tradicional de Sambaíba, municipio de Caetité-BA, sus conocimientos - práctica y cuestiona la construcción de identidades cambiantes y / o fragmentadas basadas en la interpretación de elementos simbólicos presentes en las narrativas y expresiones faciales y corporales de los participantes. Una etnografía sobre / con el Otro en mi experiencia con el cuerpo. Verme a mí mismo pensando y observando y simultáneamente siendo pensado y observado por personas de ascendencia africana es la construcción de una episteme para la vida académica y humana.
