Resumo: This report presents ways of intervention in the psychologist's performance in a situation of racism. The experience takes place in a higher education institution and we discussed racism and mental health from the course promoted by the Center for Studies and Research in Psychoanalysis, Identity, Negritude and Society at the State University of Recôncavo da Bahia. Initially, the role of the psychology professional in the educational area of student assistance will be described. Then two case studies will be approached with their respective analysis. The text ends with the possible psychological interventions in this theme, the importance of expanding their collective practices, not only individual / clinical, as well as the critical view on the performance of educational institutions and institutional racism. La experiencia tiene lugar en una institución de educación superior y discutimos el racismo y la salud mental del curso promovido por el Centro de Estudios e Investigación en Psicoanálisis, Identidad, Negritud y Sociedad de la Universidad Estatal de Recôncavo da Bahia. Inicialmente, se describirá el papel del profesional de psicología en el área educativa de asistencia estudiantil. Luego se abordarán dos estudios de caso con sus respectivos análisis. El texto termina con las posibles intervenciones psicológicas en este tema, la importancia de expandir sus prácticas colectivas, no solo individuales / clínicas, así como la visión crítica sobre el desempeño de las instituciones educativas y el racismo institucional. Palabras clave: racismo institucional; Psicología y racismo; Salud mental.Este relato apresenta formas de intervenção na atuação do psicólogo em situação de racismo. A experiência ocorre em uma instituição de ensino superior e  discutimos sobre o racismo e saúde mental a partir do curso promovido pelo Nucleo de Estudos e Pesquisa em Psicanalise, Identidade, Negritude e Sociedade da Universidade Estadual do Recôncavo da Bahia. Inicialmente serão descritos as atribuições do profissional de psicologia na área educacional da assistência estudantil. Em seguida serão abordados dois estudos de casos com suas respectivas análise.
