Resumo: This paper, which is part of post-doctoral research in progress, aims to analyze the semiotization of the world in some covers of Veja magazine about the Covid-19 pandemic. Veja magazine is configured as a product of the journalistic field, whose legitimacy lies not only in producing and disseminating information, but also in updating reality and renewing the apprehension of the world. As its name indicates, Veja shows what it thinks is important to know, in a particular way, not in a transparent way. Thus, from the Semiolinguistic theory of Discourse Analysis, aiming at a qualitative study, some concepts dear to the theory will be presented, such as the process of semiotization of the world (Charaudeau, 1995); the interenunciative act between the communicating subject and the interpreting subject (Charaudeau, 2001) and the modes of discourse organization (Charaudeau, 2008).

La revista Veja se configura como un producto del ámbito periodístico, cuya legitimidad reside no sólo en producir y difundir información, sino también en actualizar la realidad y renovar la aprehensión del mundo. Como su nombre indica, Veja muestra lo que considera importante conocer, de una manera particular, no transparente. Así, desde la teoría Semiolingüística del Análisis del Discurso, apuntando a un estudio cualitativo, se presentarán algunos conceptos caros a la teoría, como el proceso de semiotización del mundo (Charaudeau, 1995); el acto interenunciativo entre el sujeto comunicador y el sujeto intérprete (Charaudeau, 2001) y los modos de organización del discurso (Charaudeau, 2008).Este trabalho, que é parte de uma pesquisa de pós-doutorado em andamento, tem por objetivo analisar a semiotização de mundo em algumas capas da revista Veja sobre a pandemia de Covid-19. A revista Veja configura-se como um produto do campo jornalístico, cuja legitimidade está em não apenas produzir e divulgar informações, mas também em atualizar a realidade e a renovar a apreensão do mundo. Como o próprio nome indica, a Veja mostra o que julga importante saber, de uma maneira particular, não transparente.
