Lexical units of fashion in the literary discourse in Chegou o governador, by Bernardo Élis

Resumo: The main objective of this investigation was to analyze lexical units relating to the clothing of a character in the work Chegou o governador (1998), by Bernardo Élis, in correlation with the production of identities. We base ourselves on authors who discuss the lexical study in literary discourse, such as Cardoso (2018); as well as general theories of the lexicon (BIDERMAN, 2001); on Lexical Stylistics, we used the theory of Martins (2008) and about fashion, we had Silva, Monteleone and Debom (2019), Orsi and Almeida (2019), among others. After reading the work under analysis, we selected lexical units related to the theme of our study, and then compared them in lexicography and terminography works, namely Houaiss and Villar (2009) and Sabino (2007), respectively. The relevance of this study lies in showing how the characterization of the character intersects with social and economic relations and with the Christian values that permeated society at the time. The results obtained highlight the characterization of the character as graceful and elegant, through the use of exquisite clothing and fabrics, such as the "silver cloth cape".

Fundamentamo-nos em autores que discutem sobre o estudo lexical no discurso literário, como Cardoso (2018); assim como em teorias gerais do léxico (Biderman, 2001); sobre a Estilística Lexical, lançamos mão da teoria de Martins (2008) e sobre moda, tivemos como aporte teórico Silva, Monteleone e Debom (2019), Orsi e Almeida (2019), dentre outros. A partir da leitura da obra em análise, selecionamos as unidades léxicas relacionadas ao tema em estudo, para, então, procedermos ao seu cotejo em obras lexicográfica e terminográfica, quais sejam, Houaiss e Villar (2009) e Sabino (2007), respectivamente. A relevância deste estudo está em evidenciar como a caracterização da personagem intersecciona-se com as relações sociais, econômicas e com os valores cristãos que permeiam a sociedade da época.
