TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION IN BRAZIL: DIAGNOSTIC OF THE ELETRONIC INDUSTRY ACCORDING TO PINTEC

Resumo: This paper analyzes the profile and relevance of the innovative performance of companies linked to the electronic industry. The methodology is based on the evolutionary and comparative appreciation of this sector with the manufacturing industry based on indicators from PINTEC 2008, 2011, 2014 and 2017. The results reveal that the sector presented a higher rate of innovation than the manufacturing industry, but with a loss of its productive density. There is also a condition of subordination in international terms. Finally, even with the government assistance, it is observed that innovation policies in this industry remain subject to the command of the macroeconomic balance.

A metodologia tem como base a apreciação evolutiva e comparativa desse setor com a indústria de transformação a partir de indicadores obtidos da PINTEC de 2008, 2011, 2014 e 2017. Os resultados revelam que o setor apresentou uma taxa de inovação superior à da indústria de transformação, mas com perda de sua densidade produtiva. Verifica-se, ainda, uma condição de subordinação em termos internacionais.
