This Work Completion of course includes part of my research in undergraduate and research project entitled be / so Alagoas; Stories, memories and forgetfulness. With this research I analyze and understand how the Nise da Silveira psychiatrist transformed and revolutionized occupational therapy. Titled "Nise da Silveira and the Rebellion that Transforms" I aim to recognize the importance of rebellious actions of Nise da Silveira as a woman, Northeastern, psychiatrist and revolutionary by his work in occupational therapy. Nise da Silveira is the construction of a female subjectivity in the early twentieth century broke with the social parameters, political, cultural, professional and gender, because before all the challenges he faced, is one of many women during the twentieth century weaved struggles against sexism, social exclusion of marginalized individuals and dictatorial political power. Reader Carl Gustav Jung, Blanchot and Artaud, among others, Nise da Silveira also breaks with values and codes present in psychiatric medicine to question traditional methods of treating schizophrenia and the bringing of occupational therapy through, especially art. Nise breaks not only with some traditional parameters of politics and psychiatry, but also the proper place of women defined over the centuries as a submissive, bottom and linked only to the home and motherhood. Through reports provided by Nise da Silveira interviews for its employees and works produced that biografam the same want from the discourse analysis contextualize the construction of its female subjectivity, discuss gender issues that cross its path of life, the same time, through his work as a psychiatrist think the emergence of renewals in psychiatry and occupational therapy was possible.
