The research presented in this course conclusion work is linked to the line of researches Teacher Training, Processes and Practices in music education of the Contemporary Studies Group in Music Education (GECOM), in the Music Degree course at the Alagoas Federal University. It clarifies the symptoms of the disorder and attention deficit and hyperactivity and its subtypes, the main difficulties and consequences of the lack of treatment in the child's life and a mistake in the diagnosis, which must be done in a multidisciplinary way. The research was carried out through questionnaires investigating the performance of teachers in the face of hyperactive students, in addition to a bibliographic survey of research conducted in Brazil regarding musicalization and ADHD. It is hoped that this research will contribute to the information of educators in the music area, bringing suggestions for activities and clarifying that the student with ADHD is fully capable of developing themselves musically and also in other aspects of their lives, but making clear the difference between musical education and music therapy.
