Urban Mobility projects are tools of great importance for the development and comfort of a municipality. It is from these projects that the situation of locomotion of the various means of transportation is analyzed, and a possible solution to the problems encountered is worked out. However, there is a prioritization for motorized transport, forgetting a means of transport of great importance: the transport on foot. Due to this negligence with the transport on foot, walking in the Brazilian cities is a disadvantageous task, since most of the times there is no comfort or safety for the pedestrian, causing him to choose another means of transport. However, the transport on foot (which includes wheelchair users) is 100% used by the population, regardless of the route of the car, motorcycle or public transport, to the place of destination. Thus, this work has the objective of performing a diagnosis of the quality of sidewalks in the central region of the municipality of Delmiro Gouveia. Through the methodology of Ferreira and Sanches and Sarkar that were applied it was possible to verify the need for a prioritization for this means of transport, mainly in the core of the infrastructure and the sensation of safety of the sidewalks, in the formation of projects and maintenance, aiming at the improvement of locomotion and well-being of the population.
