Introduction: The Lines of Care are organizational arrangements that aim to outline a care path for health services in the search for diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and / or palliative care. Objective: To synthesize the knowledge produced in the last five years (2015-2019) about how health services are organized through Lines of Care. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review of primary studies published between 2015 and 2019 in English, Portuguese and / or Spanish, in the MedLine, Lilacs and BDEnf databases through the Virtual Health Library using combinations with the keywords “ line of care ”,“ integrality in health ”and“ health planning ”and their correspondents in the English language. Results: We selected 23 primary studies from which the following categories were extracted: a) the choice of health / disease condition for the elaboration of the Line of Care; b) the justification for choosing the health condition / disease; c) elaboration of the Line of Care; and d) Impacts achieved / expected. Conclusion: The organization of health services through lines of care responds to the need for health care models that are better suited to meet the health demands of users of the Unified Health System. The planning of care lines must involve all involved in the health care process, managers, professionals and users, the latter being the structuring element of the entire work process, using Primary Care as the preferred gateway and coordinator and organizer of care, being more resolving and communicating with other services and levels of care, in addition to public and / or private devices that are not necessarily from the health area, but that influence the continuity of care.
