O tratamento do Transtorno da Personalidade Narcisista - aproximações entre a Terapia Cognitivo-Comportamental e Terapia do Esquema - uma revisão sistemática integrativa

The article presented here is an integrative systematic review with the objective of discussing the therapeutic relationship and the treatment based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) in order to understand how gives this relationship considering the challenging characteristics of a patient with NPD, in addition Schema Therapy (ST) is seen as a possibility of effective treatment within CBT for this disorder. For this production, the CAPES, PEPSIC, PUBMED and SCIELO databases were used and 4 scientific articles were used within the boundaries of CBT and ST for NPD and the therapeutic relationship in CBT for this disorder. After collecting and discussing the data, it was possible to perceive a lack of scientific production focused on this topic, with few studies published on the therapeutic management of this disorder within CBTs, including ST, which is an approach arising from CBTs, despite this the ST has been shown to be effective in the treatment of this disorder. Considering the discussions held here, it is concluded that NPD is still little discussed in clinical and psychotherapeutic terms compared to other personality disorders, given the difficulties and specificities of this type of patient, despite the vast discussion in common sense about this disorder. This point represents a challenge for professionals who will encounter a certain patient in their professional and clinical journey, which requires further studies targeting such professionals who may encounter these patients.
