In view of the above, the objective of this research is to evaluate the effect of different types of substrates incremented with mixed mineral fertilization applied in coverage on the performance of 4 cultivars, namely, Sunflower Anão de Jardim, Sunflower Bonito de Verão Assorted, Sunflower Sol Noturno, Red Sun Sunflower. The experiment was carried out in vases under the environmental conditions of a greenhouse, which belongs to the Federal University of Amazonas - UFAM, Campus Vale do Rio Madeira (UFAM/IEAA), municipality of Humaitá- AM. The experiment was implemented in August 2022 and ended in October of the same year. A completely randomized design (DIC) was used, consisting of eight treatments with five replications each, totaling 40 plants per experimental unit, in the proportion 1:1:1. The seedlings were produced in trays containing 200 cells, suitable for the cultivation of seedlings, sowing took place days after the implementation of the experiment and about 7 days the seedlings were transplanted into the vases to be evaluated on fertilization. Five collections were carried out, but the final sunflower plant harvest took place on October 18, always collecting the parameters of plant height (AP), number of leaves (NF), flower buds, flowers and root size. With this study, it was observed that according to the results and discussions presented, we can observe that the cultivars presented different behaviors in relation to the applied treatments, however, only the control T1 treatment did not stand out for the analyzed variables, having that the other treatments stood out in all the parameters that, in general, managed to present a good growth and development, both in height of the aerial part, as in number of leaves and fully expanded and well-formed flowers.
