The aim of this product, entitled Radio documentary "A rádio do povão": history and social contribution of Rádio Clube de Parintins, is to document and understand the importance of radio to the city of Parintins, based on the history of Rádio Clube, which has been on the air in the city for 36 years and stands out as the most listened to radio station in the interior of Amazonas. Radio has the social function of democratizing access to information, which is why it is an important means of communication that is part of the social dynamics of the city, where people start their day listening to the radio. For inland and riverside areas, this means of communication is a bridge that connects communities separated by the rivers of the Amazon. This radio documentary seeks to contribute to studies on radio journalism in the municipality and to invitate to learn how the sound waves of radio broadcasting crossed the Amazon River and arrived in Parintins.
