Resumo: | ABSTRACT: Mealybugs of the genus Planococcus sp. it has become an emerging problem in different cultures (Costa et al., 2015). Its high technology and rapid development, high capacity for direct and indirect damage, concern and concern of rural coffee producers. In Robusta coffee there are reports of infestations in different producing regions such as Espírito Santo and Rondônia (Fornazier, 2016). In Robusta coffee there are reports of infestations in different producing regions such as Espírito Santo and Rondônia (Fornazier, 2016). The Amazonian Robusta coffees are seen as strategic in the search for agricultural income by small producers in the Amazon region, however, pests such as these can hinder this objective. Given the above, the study aimed to identify and quantify the levels of mealybug infestation of the genus Planococcus sp. during two phases of coffee brewing (January and February). In the work it was possible to verify the presence of mealybugs of the genus Planococcus sp. infesting robusta coffees. At work, greater infestation was observed during the second granulation phase (February). It was possible to verify that the clones, BRS1213, BRS1216, BRS3210, BRS3336, CLONE 12 and CLONE 09, present greater susceptibility to the attack of this insect. The highest infestation rate was selected in clones BRS1216 and BRS2214, being 12.69 and 12.55%. |
