This study aims to analyze perspectives of psychoanalytically oriented psychologists in relation to the convergence between clinic and discussions about non-binary transidentities, in order to explore possible challenges regarding the care of this population. Semi-structured individual interviews were conducted with seven professionals. Data were analyzed using the Sense Interpretation Method. The interviewed professionals demonstrated a lack of understanding about non-binary transidentities, identifying a process of invisibility that produces pathologization. The lack of understanding was justified as a result of a lack of training. A distancing from these demands was observed, so that they resorted to a supposed ethical neutrality. The need to consider contemporary gender studies in a transdisciplinary way and the importance of personal analysis as alternatives for an emancipatory clinical practice were considered. Thus, it becomes possible to design a subversive listening for the psychoanalytic clinic through the constant questioning of orthodox paradigms and the gender binary regime.
