Resumo: The aim of this article is to discuss Urban Environmental History based on a historiographical review that seeks to analyze the emergence of this field of study and tits relationship with the field of Environmental History, to indicate some of its main authors and to define its main themes. The historiographical review is the result of a selection of authors, articles and works by North American researchers, taking into account the methodological approach of the Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Initially, aspects relating to the urbanization process in the period after the Second World War, its effects on environmental transformations, and the emergence of the field of Environmental History, arising from the transformations that took place in the 60s and 70s.

La revisión historiográfica es el resultado de una selección de autores, artículos y trabajos de investigadores norteamericanos, teniendo en cuenta el enfoque metodológico de la Revisión Sistemática de la Literatura (RLS). Inicialmente, los aspectos relativos al proceso de urbanización en el período posterior a la Segunda Guerra Mundial, sus efectos en las transformaciones ambientales y el surgimiento del campo de la Historia Ambiental, a partir de las transformaciones ocurridas en las décadas de 60 y 70.Este artigo tem como objetivo fazer uma discussão sobre a História Ambiental Urbana a partir da elaboração de uma revisão historiográfica que procura analisar o surgimento deste campo de estudos, as relações com a área da História Ambiental, indicar alguns de seus principais seus autores, bem como a definição de suas principais temáticas. A revisão historiográfica resulta de uma seleção/recorte de artigos e obras de pesquisadores norte-americanos, considerando a abordagem metodológica da Revisão Sistemática da Literatura (RSL).
