Resumo: The article pays tribute to the memory of the Indian Anacleto da Silva Costa, of the Baré ethnic group, who in Novo Airão found a place to fight for the demands of the indigenous people who are in the cities – therefore, out of the coverage of public policies and ethnic recognition – from creation of the indigenous association Maku Itá, of a multicultural and multiethnic nature. Knowing the history of Anacleto Baré, enhances the indigenous history in reference to the cosmovision of these peoples and all forms of resistance, adaptation and maintenance of their ways of struggle and life.

Conhecer a história de Anacleto Baré, engrandece a história indígena na referência à cosmovisão desses povos e de toda forma de resistência, adaptação e manutenção dos seus modos de luta e de vida.
