Resumo: This paper discusses the participation of agricultural cooperatives in the modernization of agriculture in Paraná State (Brazil), especially in the period from the late 1960s until the early 1980s. With state support, these “entities-companies” acted strongly in the insertion of new technologies, imposed by a market globally orchestrated in the industrial logic came to dominate the field.
