This article aims to analyze the organization of the spatial circuits of timber production in the Eastern Amazon. It is used as a spatial cut and object of study the timber circuit of gross sawdust in the municipality of Nova Esperança do Piriá, Pará, Brazil. Methodologically, the work is developed from the production of primary data (interviews, constitution of photographic collection, field visits) and secondary data (IBGE, SISFLORA-PA, CEPROF-PA). The data suggest that the operation of this timber circuit is based on an organization and structuring with emphasis on the participation of sawmills (primary timber industry of native wood in logs). From this participation, this circuit has limited productive potential, being restricted to the function of mere producer of goods of simple characteristic: rough sawn wood.
