Resumo: | This article refers to an analytical and interpretive reflection on human presence in caves as a culturally refined situation. Lapa de Antônio Pereira, a Brazilian cave used for religious purposes since the 18th century, is the landscape and the place that enables a perspective on the interaction between cave environments and human activities carried out in them: is there reciprocity between caves and the into human activities? The cave was visited during fieldwork between September 2017 and August 2019, taking the same route inside the cave in a 24 point transect that started at the entrance and ended at the most distal wall. A sampling area qualified for the incidence of light and predominant anthropic use was established for each point. Thus, it was possible to elaborate congruent conceptual models of photic zoning and anthropic compartmentalization that show that Lapa shapes and is shaped by the historically carried out religious tourist visitation. The effect of underground confinement indicates that the anthropic presence impacts and is impacted, especially by the speleoclimate and cave morphology. At the same time,a cave is a landscape projecting itself over the subject and a place where the subject projects itself over the landscape. |
