Resumo: This article aims to present the study and technological monitoring aimed at the development of treadmills for wheelchairs. To collect data, the Orbit Intelligence® platform was used, applying the keywords “Treadmill”, and “Wheelchair”, in the easy and advanced search fields (title, summary, object of the invention, advantages, and independent claims). “Macro”, “meso” and “micro” analyses were carried out to extract information about the main technological characteristics related to the wheelchair treadmill. It was found that the technological domains related to “furniture and games” were the most relevant in the study and that the United States and South Korea led in the number of patent deposits and assignees.

Para o levantamento de dados, foi utilizada a plataforma Orbit Intelligence®, com aplicação das palavras-chave “Treadmill”, and “Wheelchair”, nos campos de busca básica e avançada (título, resumo, objeto da invenção, vantagens e reivindicações independentes). Foram realizadas análises “macro”, “meso” e “micro”, com o objetivo de extrair informações sobre as principais características tecnológicas relacionadas à esteira para cadeira de rodas.
