Entrepreneurship and innovation are crucial elements in Brazil's economic and social achievements in recent years and it is necessary to implement policies that encourage such practices by creating a favorable ecosystem. The country's Science and Technology Institutions (ICT) play the role of agents in the mission of contributing to the country's technological and social development. The study uses the iEcosystems model of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), divided into four main elements that work together to lead to comparative advantage and, finally, the search for impact on the ecosystem, as a central objective to understand the regional context by identifying its potentialities that may lead to the implementation of mechanisms to encourage innovation in ICT in the municipality of Angical do Piauí in collaboration with other entities, thus constituting an ecosystem able to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the region. The analysis took place under the Piauí city of Angical do Piauí, where the Federal Institute of Piauí (IFPI) is installed, and surrounding cities with the purpose of elaborating a project to implement a mechanism to promote innovation in the institution in order to meet the demands innovations in the region.
