Resumo: The COVID-19 pandemic generated a high demand for protective masks for healthcare professionals. In this context comes the project Face Shield for Life 3D, whose objective is to present the collaborative production model of development and production of Face Shields. The article begins by presenting a brief history of the new pathogen and its forms of contagion, Resolution RDC n. 356, of March 23, 2020, and some ANVISA guidelines for health services (hospitals, posts, professionals, support and assistance) in relation to the importance of prevention and control measures. Following, the results obtained in the project Face Shield for Life 3D are exposed with the creation of a hub with more than 60 makers, adding more than 90 3D printers, connected with the purpose of obtaining a quick response in the production of Face Shields to professional’s health care free of charge.
