Resumo: | This technological prospecting is directed to the use of xanthan gum as an EOR fluid. The expansion of the oil market gave rise to the need to develop new technologies suitable to the maximum the oil recovery potential of the reservoir and xanthan gum proved to be an option due to its ability to act as a piston fluid. The research was carried out in the Espacenet database and 76 patent families were found and analyzed. It was possible to verify the current stagnation of the technology, since 96% of patents are no longer in force. The United States excels in the development of technology. The specification of a new gum production process and a new EOR fluid base is observed. Xanthomonas was the most used microorganism and a campestris species the most recurrent. Although the apparent stagnation of the technology, the use of other strains has been identified as a possibility in the development of new technologies related to the production of xanthan gum. |

A expansão do mercado de petróleo fez surgir a necessidade de desenvolver novas tecnologias capazes de aproveitar ao máximo o potencial de recuperação de óleo do reservatório, e a goma xantana se mostrou ser uma opção por sua capacidade de atuar como fluido pistão. A busca foi realizada na base de dados do Espacenet e foram encontradas e analisadas 76 famílias de patentes. Foi possível verificar atual estagnação da tecnologia, uma vez que 96% das patentes não estão mais em vigor. Os Estados Unidos se destaca no desenvolvimento da tecnologia. Observa-se a reivindicação de novo processo de produção da goma e nova formulação de fluido EOR. Xantomonas foi o microrganismo mais utilizado, e a espécie campestris foi a mais recorrente.
