Exploratory Analysis of Management Software Patents

Resumo: The need for competitiveness among organizations and the development of technologies related to strategic management software has created a large global market in development. The objective of this work was to verify the patents deposited in the area of ​​strategic software for management, where the scenario follows a trend of concentration of new technologies in few foreign companies. A total of 2,127 registered patents were found that fit the parameters defined for the study, the data query generates a time horizon of about 20 years, the first patents in the area were requested in the year of 1998. The results showed that the applications for priorities are concentrated in only 6 countries or areas encompassing the United States, Canada, South Korea, the European Patent Organization, Japan and India. In Brazil, the deposit data point to a probable strategy to protect the target market of the companies that own the technologies.

Foram encontradas 2.127 patentes que se enquadram nos parâmetros definidos deste estudo. A consulta aos dados gerou um horizonte de tempo de cerca de 20 anos, com as primeiras patentes na área solicitadas no ano de 1998. Os resultados mostraram que os pedidos de prioridade estão concentrados em apenas seis países ou áreas, a saber, Estados Unidos, Canadá, Coreia do Sul, Organização Europeia de Patentes, Japão e Índia.
