Resumo: | The access to energy is directly linked to improving the quality of life and development of today's society. Among the ways of generating energy, hydroelectric plants and those based on fossil fuels are the most used. One technology that has been gaining prominence is solar energy. The most well-known equipment for this purpose are the solar collectors. In this work was evaluated a collector with structure in dark plastic with flexible structure. Such structure gives it facilities, especially in the transportation of equipment. In this article the Utility Model obtained by the University of Brasília Foundation (FUB) was evaluated, which brought about a functional improvement in its performance. They were evaluated, based on the state of the art, on the degree of maturity of the technology and on possible technological routes; the industrial application and other issues related to the equipment, such as the possibility of commercialization or licensing. |

O acesso à energia está diretamente ligado à melhoria da qualidade de vida e desenvolvimento da sociedade atual. Dentre os modos de geração de energia, as usinas hidrelétricas e aquelas baseadas em combustíveis fósseis são as mais utilizadas. Uma tecnologia que vem ganhando destaque é a captação de energia solar por intermédio de equipamentos coletores. Os equipamentos mais conhecidos para esse fim são os coletores solares. Neste trabalho foi avaliado um coletor construído com plástico escurecido e com estrutura flexível. Tal estrutura lhe confere facilidades, especialmente no transporte do equipamento. Neste artigo foi avaliado o Modelo de Utilidade obtido pela Fundação Universidade de Brasília (FUB), que trouxe uma melhora funcional em seu desempenho.
