Technological Prospection of Devices Applied to Ocular Assessment in Teleophtalmology: trends and prognostics to the post-pandemy

Resumo: Human ocular system is susceptible to disease, especially if it is not taken care of. Due to the growing technologic incorporation in the health sector, it is of paramount importance to invest in teleophthalmology, in order to expand the coverage of services provided to the population. Considering the installation of Covid-19 pandemic, was made a literary review using the PubMed database and a prospective research on patent basis Espacenet to identifies potential technologies and can be adopted or expanded on post-pandemic period. Based on the data collected, analyzes were carried out regarding the countries of origin, holders of the applications and volume of publications, being identified a domain in the performance of universities for the creation and the technological foment. It is suggested that, in the future, studies on the subject be carried out and the introduction of investment is encouraged, both in literature and scientific research, in professional practices in favor of ocular health.

Mediante a crescente incorporação tecnológica no setor de saúde, é de suma importância o investimento na teleoftalmologia, em prol da expansão da cobertura dos serviços prestados à população. Considerando a pandemia de Covid-19, foi realizada uma revisão de literatura utilizando a base de dados PubMed e uma pesquisa prospectiva na base de dados de patentes Espacenet para identificar tecnologias em potencial e que poderão ser adotadas ou expandidas no período pós-pandemia. A partir dos dados coletados, foram efetuadas análises quanto aos países de origem, titulares dos pedidos e o volume de publicações, sendo identificado um predomínio na atuação de universidades para a criação e o fomento teleoftalmológico.
