SUBJECTION AND SERVITUDE IN THE WORK IN TRANSPORTATION DIGITAL PLATFORMS: a case study in Rio de Janeiro

Resumo: The article proposes to investigate whether engendering social subjection and machinic enslavement, as proposed by Maurizio Lazzarato, helps to understand the reality of work on digital platforms for the transport of people in Rio de Janeiro. For this, four interviews were qualitatively analyzed from a semi-structured questionnaireand we discussed mainly the forms of control by the platform companies and the personal selfexpectations and motivations of these workers, concluding that the use of the consolidated subjectivity in the figure of the “self-entrepreneur” added to the de-subjectivation and the impact ofthe assignifying signs in the pre-subjectivity of individuals are  important and complementaryelements in the perception of the  empirically studied object. The article concludes that the machineman of machinic enslavement is completelyaccomplished in the platform work.

À cette fin, quatre entretiens ont été analysés qualitativement basées sur un questionnaire semi-structuré et nous avons principalement discuté des formes de contrôle par les entreprises de la plateforme et des attentes desoi et motivations personnelles de ces travailleurs, en concluant que l’utilisation de la subjectivité consolidée dans la figure de “l’auto-entrepreneur”ajoutée à la désubjectivation et à l’impact des signes assignifiants dans la pré-subjectivité des individus sont des éléments importants et complémentaires dans la perception de l’objet empiriquement étudié.L’article conclut que l’homme-machine de la servitude machinique est complètement accompli dans le travail de plateforme.O artigo se propõe a investigar se o engendramento da sujeição social e da servidão maquínica, conforme propostos por Maurizio Lazzarato, auxiliam na compreensão da realidade do trabalho em plataformas digitais de transporte de pessoas no Rio de Janeiro. Para isso, analisam-se qualitativamente quatro entrevistas concedidas a partir de um questionário semiestruturado e discorre-se principalmente sobre as formas de controle pelas empresas de plataforma e as cobranças e motivações pessoais desses trabalhadores, concluindo que o uso da subjetividade consolidada na figura do “empresário de si” somada à dessubjetivação e ao impacto dos signos assignificantes na pré-subjetividade dos indivíduos são elementos importantes e complementares na percepção do objeto empiricamenteestudado.
