Resumo: Review of the book Movimento LGBTI+: uma breve história do século XIX aos nossos dias, published in2022, by Renan Quinalha, whose purpose turns on capturing silencing and forgetting projects of sexual and gender diversities to thus catapult this political movement to the current public scene. Organized in five chapters, the author discusses political activism organized in Germany in the 19th century, the United States after World War II to reach the Brazilian scenario today. Urgent and provocative, the work takes on the challenge of appearing in front of the conservative concealment project and shouting at the daily violence faced by us. Open to audiences from academia and beyond, the book arrives at a key moment in the country and is an invitation to alliances and communions of re-existence and resistance.
