Faced the ever-increasing demand for bandwidth, largely caused by the popularization of the Internet and services such as video streaming, online games and cloud storage, among others, Elastic Optical Networks (EON) emerge as a solution to the issue of providing optical spectrum to sustain the skeleton of the Internet. Elastic Optical Networks, although within the paradigm of Optical Circuit Switching (OCS), differ from the already traditional Networks (WDM) because they are oriented towards granularity and freedom of scale in spectrum allocation, allowing the sharing of this by services of different bandwidths, with great gain of spectral efficiency compared to existing networks today. Technologies such as (OFDM) and (N-WDM) have made it possible to generate extremely low spectral width carriers, improving granularity. The management of EON use Spectrum Routing and Assignment algorithms (RSA) to orchestrate carrier contiguity in the formation of supercarriers, as well as their continuity along the links that make up the optical path. The continuity and contiguity restrictions imposed by Elastic Networks have the effect of increasing the blocking probability and worsening the load distribution in the links throughout the topology. This work presents new heuristics for ordering the set of routes of an optical network, associated with a weighting of the links. Through computational simulation, the two experiments, one with fixed routing, and the other with fixed-alternating routing, obtained a significant reduction in the blocking probability, as well as better load distribution along the network, for the three topologies studied, thus showing better performance compared to the conventional KSP. In the fixed-alternating routing experiment, the performance of the new strategy with two routes is equivalent to the performance of the conventional KSP with five routes.Nascimento, Luiz Henrique Bonani doCésar, Amílcar CareliSanches, Anderson LeonardoChaves, Daniel Augusto RibeiroElahabad, Majid ForghaniQueiroz, Joel Carlos Farias de2022info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisapplication/pdf137 f. : il.http://biblioteca.ufabc.edu.br/index.php?codigo_sophia=124230http://biblioteca.ufabc.edu.br/index.php?codigo_sophia=124230&midiaext=80768Cover: http://biblioteca.ufabc.edu.br/php/capa.php?obra=124230porreponame:Repositório Institucional da UFABCinstname:Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC)instacron:UFABCinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2023-04-20T10:41:00Zoai:BDTD:124230Repositório InstitucionalPUBhttp://www.biblioteca.ufabc.edu.br/oai/oai.phpopendoar:2023-04-20T10:41Repositório Institucional da UFABC - Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC)false |
