Ana Carolina BoeroDissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Federal do ABC, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Mestrado Profissional em Matemática em Rede Nacional - PROFMAT, Santo André, 2019.Iniciamos este trabalho pelo desenvolvimento histórico e motivações que promoveram a evolução dos cálculos pertinentes às funções exponenciais e logarítmicas. Abordamos definições e propriedades com formalidade e as funções foram caracterizadas e organizadas de maneira lógica. Definimos o número e, destacando que a função logarítmica nesta base se manifesta com naturalidade em variadas situações cotidianas. O formato adotado possibilita a construção gráfica e a modelagem de fenômenos através da definição e estudo de suas características. Para tanto, realizamos a modelagem de alguns problemas para os quais sugerimos um tratamento interdisciplinar, com o intuito de tornar o conteúdo interessante e até lúdico para os discentes, como a desintegração radioativa do carbono-14, utilização da Escala Richter, aplicações financeiras a juros compostos e resfriamento de corpos. Apresentamos, no encerramento, as tabelas de logaritmos nas bases e e decimal, e sua utilização no cálculo de expressões numéricas, além de teoremas consideráveis no desenvolvimento das demonstrações realizadas.We began this work by historical development and motivations that promoted the evolution of calculations pertinent to exponential and logarithmic functions. We formally approach definitions and properties and the functions have been characterized and organized in a logical manner. We define the number e, noting that the logarithmic function on this basis manifests itself naturally in various everyday situations. The adopted format enables the graphic construction and modeling of phenomena through the definition and study of their characteristics. To this end, we model some problems for which we suggest an interdisciplinary approach to make the content interesting and even ludic for students, such as radio-14 carbon disintegration, use of the Richter Scale, interest rate financial applications. compounds and body cooling.
