Esse fator possibilitou um aumento significativo na divulgação de imagens diversas para uma grande quantidade de pessoas, por meios dos cinemas, jornais, revistas ilustradas. Sob a perspectiva dos autores Siegfried Kracauer e Walter Benjamin, um dos aspectos relevantes para entender essa mudança se dá por meio da forma de percepção do público a partir da distração [Zerstreuung], uma experiência desatenta, rápida e fugidia que é própria da cultura de massa nas metrópoles. A partir disso, traçamos em nossa pesquisa dois objetivos principais: a) compreender como se dá a apropriação conceitual dos autores sobre a distração na metrópole, na fotografia e no cinema; b) colocar em diálogo a perspectiva dos autores a fim de estabelecer uma interlocução a respeito das possibilidades e entraves da cultura de massa pela forma da distração. Assim, como resultado, apontaremos para a leitura do cinema como uma interpretação da cultura de massa, seja por meio do conteúdo e forma dos filmes, seja por meio da fragmentação das imagens, que possibilitam uma abertura à montagem e ao jogo no modo de criação do cinema, tal como os autores contemplaram nos filmes de Charlie Chaplin.In the second half of the nineteenth century new techniques were created that altered the scope of the arts and culture in concern on the mode of reproduction of images and their relationship with the public, especially photography and cinema. This factor allowed a significant increase in the dissemination of diverse images to a large number of people, through the means of cinemas, newspapers, illustrated magazines. From the perspective of the authors Siegfried Kracauer and Walter Benjamin, one of the relevant aspects to understand this change is from the form of public perception through distraction [Zerstreuung], an inattentive, fast and fugitive experience that is proper to the mass culture in the metropolis. From this, we draw two main objectives in our research: a) to understand how the author's conceptual appropriation of the distraction in the metropolis, in photography and in the cinema; b) to put in dialogue the perspective of the authors in order to establish an interlocution about the possibilities and obstacles of mass culture through the form of distraction.
