São Bernardo do Campo, 2020Esse trabalho enfoca a relação entre migração e gênero, com o objetivo de destacar o impacto da migração nas relações de gênero nas famílias haitianas de Utinga (São Paulo). Os estudos de gênero aumentaram a visibilização das mulheres migrantes, dando-lhes uma posição mais justa no campo de estudos, lançando luz sobre o privado e o íntimo e legitimando a teoria da história centrada na intimidade, nos sentimentos, na identidade pessoal, no privado, no relacionamento, no corpo, aspectos antes negligenciados no estudo da migração centrada no masculino. Isso nos leva a questionar o lugar dos homens e mulheres haitianos na migração à luz das relações privadas e afins. Uma abordagem qualitativa foi priorizada para conduzir esta pesquisa, a partir de teorias feministas interseccionais que permitem a inclusão de outros elementos como etnia, nacionalidade, classe social, bem como novos estudos de migração abrangendo gênero. Para alcançar uma compreensão do tema migração-gênero, utilizamos o método de triangulação para obter dados de várias técnicas de pesquisa, incluindo etnografia que permite a observação, e entrevistas que possibilitam aos sujeitos da pesquisa dê o seu ponto de vista. Este estudo nos permitiu, entre outras coisas,compreender melhor as condições migratórias que as mulheres haitianas vivenciam e enfrentam, como as migrações contribuem para a produção de divisão e hierarquia de gênero e, por outro lado, como o gênero influencia os processos de migração.This work focuses on the relationship between migration and gender, to highlight the impact of migration on gender relations in Haitian families in Utinga (São Paulo). Gender studies have raised visibility about women in migration by giving them a fairer position in the field of study, shedding light on the private, the intimate, legitimizing the theory of history centered on intimacy, feelings, personal identity, the private, the relationship, the body, etc.,aspects previously neglected in the study of male-centered migration. This leads us to question the place of Haitian men and Haitian women in migration in the light of private and related relationships. A qualitative approach was prioritized to conduct this research, drawing on intersectionist feminist theories that allow for the inclusion of other elements such as ethnicity, nationality, social class, as well as new migration studies encompassing gender. To achieve an understanding of the migration-gender theme, we employ the triangulation method to obtain data from several given research techniques including ethnography which allows observation, and interviews which enable research subjects to give their point of view.
