Resumo: This research addresses the contribution of a standardized roadmap to qualify decision-making on the financial viability of long-term investment alternatives. For this, it uses a case study of a company that produces promotional videos for TV and Internet, reanalyzed by an international consulting firm. The main limitation for the reanalysis of the investment was the contracting company having restricted the scope of the work to an economic-financial evaluation study without providing information of competition, market research or commercial strategy. In this context, questionable internal data were taken into account such as assumptions, projections and arbitrated data. Consequently, if the reanalysis of the investment were both hinged upon the stages of the proposed evaluation roadmap and complemented by market strategy information, it would certainly contribute to reducing the risk of the investment.

Para ello, utiliza un estudio de caso de una empresa de producción de videos promocionales para TV e Internet, reanudado por una empresa de consultoría internacional. La principal limitación para la reanudación de la inversión fue el hecho de que la empresa contratante restringió el alcance del trabajo a un estudio de evaluación económico-financiera, no proporcionando información de la competencia, de investigación de mercado y de estrategia comercial. En este contexto, fueron tenidas en cuenta informaciones internas cuestionables tales como premisas, proyecciones y datos arbitrados. Se concluye que la reanudación de la inversión, si fuera basada en el itinerario de evaluación propuesto y complementada por informaciones de estrategia mercadológica, ciertamente contribuiría a reducir el riesgo de la inversión.Embora haja vasta teoria sobre as métricas de avaliação de investimento, o mesmo não ocorre com os processos de avaliação de investimento e, por isso, as empresas criam processos conforme suas necessidades específicas. Tendo isso em conta, pesquisou-se processos de avaliação de investimento para se chegar a um roteiro considerado suficientemente capaz de assegurar que todas as etapas importantes de uma avaliação sejam contempladas.
