Resumo: The aim of this article is to analyze the output, demand, income and sectoral linkages of Mato Grosso do Sul’s agriculture. A quantitative research was conducted, using an input-output matrix and GDP’s notions by the approaches of output, demand and income. Among the key findings are the concentration of purchases and sales mainly in the agriculture itself and in the food and beverage sector. About the GDP’s approaches, the agriculture has positioned itself among the top five outputs. By the income approach, agricultural taxation and wages reached small sharesof the economy. By the demand side, the highlight was the share of exports to the rest of Brazil. These results demonstrated the importance of agriculture in Mato Grosso do Sul’s economy, providing support to decision-making within this sector and the government.

Se utilizó el método de investigación cuantitativa de la matriz de insumo-producto y nociones del PIB en los enfoques de producto, de la demanda y de los ingresos. Entre los principales resultados están que las compras y las ventas se concentraron en la propia agricultura y en el sector de alimentos y bebidas. Acerca del enfoque del PIB, esta actividad se ha posicionado entre los cinco mayores productos. Desde el enfoque de los ingresos, los impuestos y los salarios agrícolas alcanzaron pequeñas proporciones de la economía. En el enfoque dela demanda, lo más destacado fue la participación de las exportaciones al resto de Brasil. Estos resultados demostraran la importancia de la agricultura en la economía de Mato Grosso do Sul, el apoyo a la toma de decisiones dentro de este sector y del gobierno.O objetivo geral deste artigo consiste em analisar a composição de produto, demanda, rendimento e das interligações setoriais da agropecuária de Mato Grosso do Sul. Utilizou-se, para tanto, o método quantitativo de pesquisa, a partir da matriz insumo-produto e das noções das óticas do produto, demanda e rendimento do PIB. Dentre os principais resultados auferidos estão às compras e vendas concentradas, principalmente, no próprio setor e no setor de alimentos e bebidas. Quanto às óticas do PIB, essa atividade se posicionou entre as cinco primeiras em produto. Pela ótica do rendimento, as tributações e salários da agropecuária atingiram pequenas proporções sobre a economia. Por fim pela demanda, o destaque coube à participação das exportações destinadas ao restante do Brasil.
