Resumo: This article examines the perception of employees and managers regarding policies and practices of Human Resources Management (HR) to promote Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The research was on a public company regarding to CSR Ethos Institute indicators. The research is descriptive and quantitative. The method used was the survey. Data were collected from closed questionnaires answered by the employees and managers as well as by official documents. The sample is composed of 247 employees out of a population of 850 people. The results suggest a more positive perception about the HR practices related to the indicators that deals with health, safety and working conditions care; company behavior in relation to layoffs and preparing for retirement. On the other hand, there is a less positive perception related to participative management and the relationship with contracted out workforce.

El análisis se llevó a cabo en la acción de una empresa pública a partir de los Indicadores Ethos de RSC. La opción metodológica fue una investigación descriptiva cuantitativa. El método utilizado fue una encuesta. Se aplicó el cuestionario cerrado, basado en los indicadores Ethos de RSC, a los empleados y gerentes de la empresa y análisis de documentos. La muestra está formada por 247 empleados, de una población de 850personas. Los resultados sugieren una percepción positiva de la empresa y las prácticas de gestión depersonal relativas a la salud, seguridad y condiciones de trabajo; el comportamiento de los despidos; y la preparación para la jubilación. Por otro lado, existe una percepción menos positiva hacia la gestión participativa y las relaciones con trabajadores subcontratados.Este artigo analisa a percepção de trabalhadores e gestores em relação às políticas e práticas de gestão de pessoas (GP) sob o foco da Responsabilidade Social Empresarial (RSE). A análise foi feita em uma empresa pública de economia mista a partir dos indicadores Ethos de RSE. A escolha metodológica recaiu sobre uma pesquisa quantitativa de caráter descritivo. O método utilizado foi o survey. Com base nos indicadores Ethos, foi aplicado questionário fechado aos empregados e aos gerentes da empresa e também foi realizada análise documental. A amostra foi composta por 247 empregados, numa população de 850 pessoas. Os resultados sugerem uma percepção positiva sobre a empresa e as práticas de GP relativas aos cuidados com a saúde, a segurança e as condições de trabalho; comportamento diante de demissões; preparação para a aposentadoria.
