Resumo: Incentives for Solidarity Economy issued during the last Brazilian federal governments (2002 - 2013) have fostered forms of being, (inter)acting and representing that, whilst positioning collective solidarity work as an alternative to capitalism, are in line with orders of discourse that legitimize and justify the same mode of production. This work aims to understand how discourses of collective solidarity enterprises’ workers contribute to reproducing the social order characteristic of the actual period of capitalism (since 1970). Discourses of workers of the Settlement Coqueirinho (Ceará) obtained through interviews and participant observation were analyzed using strategies based on Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) developed by Fairclough (2001, 2003 , 2005) and Fairclough e Chouliaraki (1999) and elements of the New Sociology of Capitalism by Boltanski and Chiapello (1999). The analysis shows that despite criticizing capitalism, the discourse of the workers operates to reproduce forms of representation, interaction and identity features of the system of justification that characterizes the new spirit of capitalism.

The analysis shows that despite criticizing capitalism, the discourse of the workers operates to reproduce forms of representation, interaction and identity features of the system of justification that characterizes the new spirit of capitalism.
