The area of ​​Health Sciences receives large amounts of funding from funding agencies for the development of research. Scientific production grows day after day as many researchers get involved in research to solve problems that have arisen over the years. When the results are obtained, most are published in journal articles, one of the main formal channels of Scientific Communication. This article aims to verify which specific area of ​​Health Sciences has more CNPq Research Productivity researchers and whether journal articles published in the period 2020-2021 by these researchers who receive funding for their research are in open access or closed access. The research has a quantitative approach and an analysis was carried out in the Lattes Curriculum of 8 researchers of public articles in the aforementioned period. A total of 286 articles were verified, of which 237 were published in open access and 49 in closed access. It is expected that the results will contribute both to the area of ​​Health Sciences and to Information Science and Librarianship, and that funding institutions will encourage researchers to publish the results of their investigations in open access journals so that scientific information is of free access.
